Organic cotton (Bio Cotton label)

No synthetic chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used in the organic cotton. 10% of the entire Switcher cotton collection consists of Fairtrade certified organic cotton. By 2026, Switcher will switch completely to regenerative cotton.

Up & Recycling (Label Up-Cycling and Cotton Recycling)

In upcycling, waste products or useless materials are converted into new products. In contrast to downcycling, this form of recycling results in material upgrading. The recycling or reuse of existing material reduces the use of raw materials.

Cotton recycling prevents unnecessary waste and can be a more sustainable alternative to disposal. Recycled cotton can come from used clothing or from textile waste or remnants, which are then spun into new yarns and fabrics.

Refibra
The pioneering Refibra technology involves the upcycling of cotton scraps from clothing production. These cotton scraps are converted into cotton pulp. A significant proportion of this - up to a third - is added to wood pulp and the combined raw material is processed into new TENCEL Lyocell virgin fibers for the production of fabrics and garments.

Bamboo
Bamboo is also antibacterial and antifungal. This is because bamboo contains an antibacterial and bacteriostatic bio-agent called "Bamboo Kun", which allows it to thrive in the wild without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. This beneficial property of the plant remains in its textile form, kills all bacteria and keeps the wearer feeling fresh and odor-free for longer, making the garment healthier and more hygienic. Draws moisture away from the skin so that it evaporates.

Our bamboo pieces have been dyed using the "dope-dyed" dyeing technique, which is typical for recycled fabrics. With this process, the dyeing can be done by hot transfer without immersion in water.

99% water savings along the entire production chain

54% less energy consumption along the entire production chain

50% less waste
20% less CO2 emissions

Recycled polyester

The entire Switcher polyester range consists of recycled polyester staple fibers. Our Indian partner and producer Sulochana processes 5.5 million PET bottles into recycled polyester staple fibers every day. All of our partner's innovative projects are supported by renewable sources and electricity consumption is 100% renewable.
