SWITCHER Labels
At Switcher, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Our eco-friendly labels are a testament to our commitment to the environment and our desire to provide high-quality, responsibly sourced products. Here's what makes our labels stand out:
NATURE ENERGY
Renewable energy drives switcher production. A wind and solar power plant produce 100% of the energy required.
The surplus that is not needed for production is fed into the local grid.
PET RECYCLING
All polyester yarns from the new Switcher collection are made from PET recycled polyester. Our own factory recycles over 70% of bottles which come from the local market (India). The entire Switcher polyester range is made from recycled polyester staple fibers. Our Indian partner and producer Sulochana processes 5.5 million PET bottles into recycled polyester staple fibers every day. All of our partner's innovative projects are supported by renewable sources and electricity consumption is 100% renewable.
ORGANIC COTTON
No synthetic chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used in the organic cotton. 40% of the entire Switcher cotton collection consists of GOTS-certified organic cotton.
GOTS
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS for short) is one of the best-known ecological product standards for the sustainable processing of clothing and textiles made from organic fibers. As an independent, valid seal, the standard offers good guidance for the purchase of sustainable products and the certification includes strict criteria along the entire value chain. This holistic approach provides a transparent basis for socially responsible and ecologically sound textile production and distribution.
UP CYCLING
In upcycling, waste products or useless materials are converted into new products. In contrast to downcycling, this form of recycling results in material upgrading. The recycling or reuse of existing material reduces the use of raw materials.
COTTON RECYCLING
Cotton recycling prevents unnecessary waste and can be a more sustainable alternative to disposal. Recycled cotton can come from used clothing or from textile waste or remnants, which are then spun into new yarns and fabrics.
PETA APPROVED - VEGAN
The current Switcher collection does not use animal products such as wool, fur or leather for animal welfare.
OEKO TEX STANDARD 100
For trust in everyday life. The Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex is a globally standardized testing and certification system for textile products at all stages of processing. Safety guaranteed by testing for harmful substances. All components tested in the laboratory for over 1000 harmful substances
SEDEX
Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) is a membership organization for companies committed to sustainable improvement of ethical behavior in their supply chain.
