Switcher is a proud founding member of Fabric Loop

Together with the Swiss textile and clothing companies CALIDA, Mammut, Odlo, PkZ, Radys and Workfashion, the Fabric Loop association was founded on November 12th together with the industry association Swiss Textiles.

Made with respect since 1981, we at Switcher are a proud founding member of Fabric Loop and are committed to laying the foundations for an industry organization in the textile market. For more reuse, repair and recycling!

Our motivation to participate in this initiative is that we have always been convinced that only an industry-wide solution will have an impact. Isolated solutions from individual brands appear attractive at first glance, but in our view they have little chance of success in textile recycling in the long term and, above all, no leverage to make a fundamental change. Many brands that offer such solutions are simply too small to bring about significant change and their offerings are often only accessible to their own customers.

We remain committed to our strategy of producing high-quality, durable textiles that are often worn for 10, 20 or even 30 years.

which, in our opinion, is the most sustainable form of use anyway.

However, we believe that only holistic solutions that work across the entire industry can create the necessary incentive for consumers to return their textiles consistently and responsibly when a product reaches the end of its life. In our opinion, this is the only way to truly close the loop and achieve a positive environmental impact.
