For us at Switcher, sustainability is not just a trend, but a responsibility. We have been focusing on environmentally friendly materials and fair production conditions for years. Our goal is to use only recycled or organically grown raw materials by 2030. But sustainability doesn't end with production - shipping also plays a crucial role.
How we make our shipping more sustainable
For the dispatch of our products we work exclusively with the Swiss Post for shipping our products. So far we have used for small deliveries PE mailing bags but we want to go one step further. That's why we have been working intensively on innovative solutions - and came across KickBag and came across KickBag.
What is the Switcher KickBag?
The Switcher KickBag is a reusable shipping bag that is used instead of disposable cardboard boxes or PE bags. Our customers receive a returns label with every delivery so that the KickBag can simply be sent back. This is how it works:

Receipt of the order - Your Switcher order will be delivered to your home in a sturdy KickBag.

Returns made easy - Fold up the KickBag, stick on the label provided and drop it in the nearest yellow letterbox at the post office or hand it in at a post office.

Reuse - After being returned, the KickBag is cleaned and used again for shipping.
- The same KickBag can be used when returning goods for exchange, but this must be stamped as a parcel by the customer.
Why is the KickBag more sustainable?
The biggest advantage of the KickBag system is its reusability. Instead of using shipping material only once, we rely on a closed cyclewhich reduces waste and conserves resources. Our expectations of the system:
✅ One KickBag can hold up to 20 times can be reused.
✅ We assume that 60-70 % the bags come back.
✅ This allows us to massively reduce packaging waste 
Test phase & outlook
A test phase is currently test phaseto see how our customers accept this environmentally friendly shipping option. If everything goes well, we would like tofully introduce the system from in the summer. After all, sustainability only makes sense if it is practical and economical - and that is exactly what the KickBag offers.
